First Broadcast: November 2nd 2006

Leonard Lansink as Detective Wilsberg

Storyline

Georg Wilsberg has to undergo surgery after suffering an accident. One night he observes an act of violence committed by the hospital’s senior physician, Suhlke, against a nurse in the building located opposite of his hospital room.

Unfortunately, neither the night nurse, nor the head physician believe him. Both consider his observations to be imaginary due to the use of painkillers. Neither Alex, Ekki or Inspector Anna Springer believe Wilsberg’s words, when he speaks of the events while on his wheelchair after having been released.

The private investigator realizes that his friend, Anna Springer’s, apartment, lies directly opposite of Suhlke’s flat. He decides to accommodate himself at Anna’s and explains that he is in need of her help. Anna, who would like to deepen their relationship, happily agrees to host Georg.

Wilsberg now has the best view of Suhlke’s apartment by using his binoculars and can see how he is having a dispute with another man. He can also see that Suhlke is hiding something under the wooden floor of the apartment. Despite still being in a wheelchair, Wilsberg breaks in while Suhlke is away to try to find evidence.

When Suhlke returns, the detective is still in his apartment. His attempts to run away are hindered by his wheelchair and falls down the stairs – only to end up in the hospital once again.

Wilsberg, constrained to a bed after the fall, is now placed under the care of senior physician Suhlke.
