Storyline

Laura Holt and Remington Steele are looking for plastic surgeon Dr. Arthur Bellows at his practice to talk to him about an assignment, but they find the doctor dead. He is holding in his hand an invitation from Ambrose Blynn, the editor of an erotic magazine, for a weekend on  the gorgeous island "Devil’s Playground”.

The police declares it a suicide, but the two detectives have their doubts. Thus, Remington and Laura decide that Steele should pose as Dr. Arthur Bellows and accept the invitation, also bringing his nurse.

On the island, the two find a stately home in which their host, Blynne, only communicates with her guests via video transmission. The host disappears the following morning, whereby the body of a playmate is found lying in his bed. Shortly after their host shows up - but this time as a corpse in the garden. Little by little more guests are murdered in mysterious circumstances.

The murderer must therefore still be present on the island. One of the victims is pianist Madelaine Viers, the ex-lover of the dead host. Remington Steele and Laura Holt adopt a plan. Dr. Bellows alias Remington Steele fakes the death of his nurse, so that Laura can discreetly pursue her investigation. The plan is, however, sussed out, and Laura barely escapes an attempt on her life.

The investigation of the two detectives leads to the conclusion that there seems to be only one person who benefited from the events on the island: Feldmann, the lawyer of dead publisher Blynn.
