Â
Pierce Brosnan as Remington Steele
Stephanie Zimbalist as Private Detective Laura Holt
Â
Storyline
Laura Holt’s client, Buddy Shapiro, allegedly stole James Rubio’s collection of old and valuable coins.
Â
When Remington Steele is contacted by a certain Waldo Church and he offers him evidence of Shapiro's innocence, the detective is naturally very much interested and arranges a meeting. The transfer of the evidence falls through, however, because Church does not show up for the agreed handover. Remington Steele is also knocked down from behind.
Â
During further investigations Laura Holt works her charm with Philips, the lawyer who is handling Shapiro’s affair. His jealousy drives Remington Steele to flirt with a woman he has encountered during the investigation. Waldo Church is thereafter found dead in Remington Steele’s apartment and Buddy Shapiro is immediately suspected of having murdered Church.
Â
Another body is then found in the trunk of Shapiro's ex-wife, Ivy. It is James Rubio, Ivy's lover, who had been shot with Buddy Shapiro’s gun. Of course, the owner of the firearm becomes the primary suspect.
Â
Remington Steele and Laura Holt, however, have a completely different person in mind.
