Pierce Brosnan as Remington Steele
Stephanie Zimbalist as Private Detective Laura Holt
Storyline
Laura's former employer, Grievey Alan, manager of a large detective agency, invites his friends and former co-workers for a weekend in his country house.
Besides Laura Holt, Alan also invites Remington Steele. Laura is not very happy about it as she fears that people would somehow find out that Remington is not actually a detective. Nevertheless, it promises to be a pleasant weekend.
Then, however, the host, Alan Grievey, is found dead the following morning in the elevator of his country house, providing for an abrupt end for an otherwise fun weekend. Since all the people present, with the possible exception of Remington Steele, are detectives, they decide to investigate the death of their friend and former employer, and postpone the notitification of the police department until the evening.
It is decided that one of those present will lead the investigation and because there is much distrust between them, Remington Steele is assigned with the supervision of the investigations. To Laura's delight and surprise Remington seems to be on top of things and brings to light some ugly relationships and piquant situations and intrigue among the attendees.
When Laura Holt’s fingerprints are found on the stop button of the elevators, she becomes a suspect in the murder of her former employer. Apparently she was the last one to be seen with the deceased.
