Storyline

Dan Kowalsky is found dead on the university campus by his girlfriend Annie. The professor then turns to her old school friend, Murphy, who works at the Remington Steele Detective Agency.

Murphy should work with Steele and Laura Holt and find out whether her boyfriend was murdered or whether he committed suicide. As part of the investigation, Remington Steele sets out to the university campus. He meets Hector Sanchez, who is well-acquainted with Annie and the deceased Dan.

Hector tells the private investigator that Dan, Annie and himself have accidentally triggered an explosion in which Tom Donovan was killed. Hector is convinced that Donovan has returned as a ghost to seek revenge on those who were guilty of his death.

Apparently Tom Donovan is not dead, for he suddenly appears on the university campus. Why should the spirit of a dead man attempt to take revenge if the deceased is not dead? So when Hector Sanchez is found dead it is clear that the matter is not over yet.

The identity of the killer and his motive for killing Dan and Hector remains unclear. The investigation, however, points to Donovan's sister.
