Storyline

Apparently a well-known artist has been murdered. However, there is currently no proof of this, since the body of the artist could so far not be found. Similarly, the images of the artist have also gone missing.

Since the much younger and handsome husband Teddy Bennet has a mistress, with whom he has frequently been seen in public, he is suspected of being responsible for his wife's death and the disappearance of the images.

For this reason, he turns to the somewhat dubious detective agency of Leo Blitzman’s and asks the detective to find out whether his mistress has anything to do with his wife's death.

Even Marion Travis, Teddy Bennet’s lover, is confused about what happened and turns to detective Remington Steele. He is to find out whether her lover is guilty or innocent.

As part of their investigation, Laura and Remington gain much insight and present a number of suspects. However, they do not succeed in finding the body of the alleged victim. Her paintings also remain disappeared.
