Pierce Brosnan as Remington Steele
Stephanie Zimbalist as Private Detective Laura Holt
Storyline
Kevin Masters turns with the commission to look for his missing puppy to the Remington Steele Detective Agency. Their investigations soon prove successful, so that they may return the dog to their client.
When the little dog disappears once again shortly after, the detectives set out to look for him once more. Their search leads them to a dead body found in a hotel room.
After a preliminary investigation, it turns out that the victim is a former agent of the international police organization Interpol with headquarters in Lyon, France. This agent had orders to follow his former colleague, Anatole Blaylock.
According to their investigations, Blaylock is in search of the international jewel thief Le Renard. Blaylock was even let go because of these goons, and has now begun a mission of his own in order to finally convict the thief.
The presumption of the two private investigators, that the sought Le Renard is actually their client Kevin Masters, is confirmed when they learn that Blaylock has kidnapped their collaborator, Mildred, and they are now being blackmailed by Masters.
Masters should use his dog Doolittle to steal a precious gem from the vault of a bank. Le Renard knows, though, that Blaylock has informed the police about the robbery.
