James Garner as Detective Rockford

 

Storyline

 

Beth Davenport is an attorney and long time friend of detective Rockford’s. After offering a broker her legal advice, Beth gets in trouble. She is initially arrested and is then the victim of an assassination attempt. She asks her old friend Rockford for his help.

 

 

During his investigations Rockford finds out that the stockbroker, that Beth counselled, has embezzled money that apparently belonged to the Mafia.
