Storyline

Rockford's old flame, Karen Stiles, is a real estate broker. Karen commissions private investigator Rockford to hand over a suitcase with important papers to another agent. Rockford naturally accepts the assignment and begins his work.

It turns out, however, that, apart from the written documents, the suitcase also contains $100,000 in cash. Since this is counterfeit money, the detective is arrested once again.

After his release, he confronts Karen. She, however, claims not to have known that the money traded was counterfeit. Shortly thereafter, the broker is kidnapped.
