Season 1 – Episode: Don't Say Goodbye

First Broadcast in Germany: August 13th 1984

Tom Selleck as Private Detective Thomas Magnum

Storyline

A few years ago, private investigator Magnum has been looking for Agatha Kimball’s orphaned granddaughter, Amy, and was unable to complete the task successfully.

Today Amy is also the reason that the blind and now aged Agatha Kimball again seeks the help of Thomas Magnum. The old lady is going to pay $ 25,000 to a nobody who wants to give her information about her granddaughter that could heavily affect her.

Magnum agrees to transfer the money for Agatha and is surprised when the stranger is shot during the transfer by a third person. Magnum finds out that the deceased is blackmailer La Rue, Amy’s former partner.

Furthermore, private investigator Magnum finds out that Amy died a few years ago from a drug overdose and that La Rue knew. The woman that Magnum thought to be Amy is therefore not who she claimed to be. Apparently the now deceased La Rue wanted to convey information to Agatha Kimball that would make it clear that "Amy" is just an impostor.

But - who has shot La Rue?
