Coffee, Tea or Steele

Pierce Brosnan as Remington Steele

Stephanie Zimbalist as Private Detective Laura Holt

Storyline

The owners of the Platinum Airline are in an awkward position, since the body of a professional killer was found on board of one of their planes,. The management of the airline turns to private detectives Remington Steele and Laura Holt, so that they may solve the case and expose the murderer of Johnny Bbeldan.

To pursue their investigations inconspicuously, the two detectives forge the plan of having Laura Holt work as a stewardess during the safety instructions, while Remington Steele will be posing as a first class passenger.

After Platinum Airlines has arranged the pre-flight safety demonstration, the plan is in motion. Their inquiries reveal that, except for the pilot, Chuck McBride, all members of the crew seem to have an alibi.

During a more in-depth questioning, McBride admits to have knocked down Beldon, but he dismisses the theory of him having murdered Beldon quite credibly. After this, Laura and Remington find one of their colleagues murdered and the two private detectives find out that the deceased detective was investigating Barry Holden in regards to an investment fraud.

Holden, who is a regular passenger on board of Platinum Airlines, maintains a relationship with Wanda Milner, one of the Platinum stewardesses. However, when Remington Steele and Laura Holt want to chat with Barry Holden, they note that he had kidnapped his lover, because, as an accessory to his deeds, she knew too much.
