Episode: The Man in the Middle

First Broadcast in Germany: 02.01.1973

Tony Curtis as Danny Wilde

Sir Roger Moore as Lord Brett Sinclair

Storyline

Controversial enough, there is a mole in the British intelligence who has access to all secrets and other valuable services. Nobody has succeeded so far in identifying the spy because this counterintelligence was always one step ahead. Than finally the defence succeeds, intercepting a specific message for the mole.

Accordingly, a secret meeting is held on an Italian farm. To make the enemy spy responsible for his actions, former judge Fulton sends the duo to the meeting. What is, however, stupid is that even their own intelligence agency doesn’t know anything about the employment of Lord Brett Sinclair and Danny Wild.

For this reason, the two are caught in the crossfire and are suddenly being chased not only by foreign agents, but also by British intelligence. The use of the two playboys is so secret that one's intelligence was not informed.
