Pierce Brosnan as Remington Steele
Stephanie Zimbalist as Private Detective Laura Holt
Storyline
In an attempt to spend their honeymoon in Ireland, Remington Steele and his wife, Laura Holt, are caught in a secret affair, during which Tony Roselli falls under the suspicion of being a double agent.
In an attempt to prove that this theory has little realistic basis, the private investigator Remington Steele is taken prisoner by the Russian Ambassador, Sergei Kimadov.
While the maid Mary Kate helps the detective escape, Laura Holt tries to prevent Kimadov’s meeting with Fitch, who has been unmasked by the Russians as the chief of the secret service.
After a long time and emotional struggle it finally comes to the point that Daniel Chalmers admits to being the father of Remington Steele.
Steele, who is naturally surprised by this statement, first seems not to be able to forgive his father for having left him in the dark so long. He manages to forgive him only after a long discussion with Mildred Krebs.
However, not much time is spared for the father-son relationship, because Daniel Chalmers dies shortly after.
