PROCURA DETECTIVE AGENCY

Everything’s OK!

Everything’s OK! is an 8-part crime series broadcast by ARD for German television from July 1990 to September 1990.

The series focuses on the Procura detective agency which, like private detective Josef Matula, is located in Frankfurt am Main. Oscar Leo Stoll (portrayed by Rolf Becker) is the chief and owner of the detective agency.

Other employees of the detective agency are Gabi (portrayed by Olga Strub), acting as the calming influence and ensuring that everything is running smoothly, Hansi (portrayed by Friedrich-Karl Praetorius) and Laura (portrayed by Cathrin Vaessen).

It often happens that  Hansi and his colleague, Laura, help the person who they should actually be investigating.

The Procura detective agency handles investigations in the area of tax and bankrupcy fraud, but the private detectives would also look into a child gone missing or issues in the field of art and painting theft.

Although the first episode of the detective series lasted for 75 minutes, due to decreased audience ratings, they were shortened to 60 and thereafter 45 minutes.

Everything’s OK! was discontinued after the first 8 episodes have been broadcast due to low ratings, despite its critical praise, which claimed that the crime series showed a certain resemblance to real detective life.

Detective Oscar Leo Stoll and his team from the Procura detective agencies were then placed in retirement without much explanation.
