Leonard Lansink as Detective Wilsberg
Â
Storyline
Â
Wilsberg’s goddaughter, Alex, has succesfully completed her first case as an attorney and the two proudly celebrate this joyous occassion with Ekki and Anna until late at night. When young Melanie Haller is found dead on the street the next morning and Ekki’s car lies just a couple of meters from the body with open doors, Inspector Anna Springer has no choice but to arrest Ekki on the grounds of  negligent homicide. Naturally this leads to tensions between the friends. Shortly after starting an investigation of his own, Wilsberg finds out that there is a witness who could have seen that Ekki was not the one driving the car.
Â
Of course, private detective Wilsberg wishes to help his friend. His investigation leads him to his old school mate Klas Teunissen. Teunissen, whom he hadn’t seen for more than twenty years and who lives directly opposite of the crime scene. He tells Wilsberg that he could see from his apartment that Ekki was not at the steering wheel. Wilsberg then finds out from Ekki that he certainly wasn’t driving the car. Apparently Wilsberg borrowed Ekki’s car and was driving it himself.
Â
Wilsberg continues to search through Klas Teunissen’s flat and finds out by telephone from Anna Springer, that deceased Melanie Haller’s husband and her parents were living in the next building. But since Teunissen is suddently standing in front of Wilsberg with a gun pointed at him, he has to abruptly end his phone call with the inspector. He notices the detective hanging up the phone and Wilsberg finally discovers Klas Teunissen’s relation to the Haller family.
