Storyline

After the death of Laura's husband, Stonewell has taken charge of the company specializing in aerospace. After repeated technical glitches that no one can really explain, it is presumed that these have all been the product of sabotage.

Stuart Thorpe and Greg Keever are suspected of wanting to drive the company to bankruptcy. Remington Steele and Laura Holt received an order to make inquiries in this regard.

As part of their investigation, the two private investigators find out that Keever and Thorpe are just stooges of a person who is currently acting in the background. Shortly after, Thorpe is found dead - murdered. Laura and Remingten follow Keever, the second suspect. They hope that he will meet with his client and thereby obtain more information.

During their surveillance of the target person they witness how he is kidnapped. The detectives followed the kidnappers and they succeed in following him to the Enterpro headquarters without being recognized.

Further investigation reveals that the owner of the company is the highly intelligent Eldon Veckmer, who has previously worked as a business manager, but now runs a company that specializes in the sabotage of various companies. These acts of sabotage are designed to enable his clients to purchase the targetted companies at a lower price.

Remington Steele and his colleague Laura Holt set out to free the kidnapped Keever. After

succeeding, they are faced with the company boss, Veckmer - and his bodyguards.
