Pierce Brosnan as Remington Steele
Stephanie Zimbalist as Private Detective Laura Holt
Storyline
Detectives Laura Holt and Remington Steele gladly accept the invitation of the program director of a television station, Ed Greene, to attend a live broadcast news program, and continue hanging out in the studio during the weather report.
They become witnesses of how a falling spotlight almost kills the weatherman. When the moderator of the weather report dies shortly after, the private investigators are asked to find out what happened.
Their investigation shows that the list of those who had no motive is very short, since almost everyone on the team had a motive to kill the weatherman. Ed Greene’s broadcast needed to bear with declining ratings and can expect an increase again.
Greene's assistant Amy, who hated the victim as much as scandal reporter Russell Stewart and the sports reporter Margaret Tracy. And even the wife had a motive. Apart from them, there is also Elliot Walsh, who was once the star of the station and must now struggle as assistant reporter.
Then suddenly, Chrissie, the wife of the deceased, is found murdered, and it turns out that both the reporter, Stewart, and the program director, Greene, have had an affair with her.
Remington Steele also learns from Amy Greene's assistant that the sports reporter has had a huge argument with the deceased shortly before his death. But the killer's identity still remains unknown.
