Storyline

After famous wrestling star Crunch Kramer becomes the victim of several assassination attempts, which he has so far managed to escape, he turns to private detectives Remington Steele and Laura Holt.

They should find the person who wishes him dead, and, naturally, he is also interested in their reasons. His girlfriend, Whitney Myerson, a soap opera star, has not yet been the target of these attacks, but Kramer fears that could change.

Their inquiries reveal that there are many people who would have motives to wish the wrestler's death. Kramer’s manager, Shelby, then falls victim to such an attempted murder and the private investigators believe Whitney's manager, Todd Myerson, to be the primary suspect, although he has an alibi.

When another attack against Kramer takes place, Laura and Remington hide him, for his own safety, at his father’s place, thereby revealing that his father has great reservations about the profession of his son and his girlfriend, Whitney. Another attack occurs during the fight the next day, when the perpatrator has sawed the ropes of the ring.

When Kramer is thrown by his opponent onto the ropes, he tears them apart and falls out of the ring. The private investigators are still not closer to finding the identity of the killer, and they fear that the murderer’s attack could succeed before they can figure it out.
