Pierce Brosnan as Remington Steele
Stephanie Zimbalist as Private Detective Laura Holt
Storyline
Laura Holt and Remington Steele are initially nearly run over by a white vintage car. Next, they see how the convertible is stolen and find it at a car dealership again.
These mysterious events spark the detectives’ interest. The following night the private investigators are being shot at, but fortunately nothing happened.
It becomes clear to Remington and Laura that these shots indicate much more than a car theft. Laura Holt locates the first owner of the classic car and sets out to find a way to meet with the old lady.
During their conversation, Clarissa McCullum tells the detective that she once had a relationship with her young chauffeur. However, he had thereafter disappeared with her diamond necklace.
Meanwhile, Remington Steele talks to the other previous owners of the convertible. The two finally examine the vehicle and tear it apart. They thereby find a bullet.
This bullet should actually come from Jo Berkholtzer’s gun. He had murdered his current wife’s first husband. Unfortunately, this same Berkholtzer now stands with a loaded gun in front of the two detectives. Before the murderer can pull the trigger, he is shot by an unknown shadow.
Their further investigation leads the private investigators back to Clarissa McCullum - and then suddenly Mildred Krebs starts receiving mysterious messages from the "Prince of Darkness", which contain a text of very amorous character.
