Pierce Brosnan as Remington Steele
Stephanie Zimbalist as Private Detective Laura Holt
Storyline
Remington Steele, who does not know his father, obtains some leads to him, and thereby decides to travel to Ireland in the company of Laura Holt. However, in search of his father, Steele becomes the victim of an assassination attempt.
When he regains consciousness, he finds himself with a memory loss in a psychiatric institution. Laura, who has followed him, succeeds in freeing him from the mental hospital.
The two private investigators begin looking into the reasons that may have led to this attack and stumble upon a dead man during their quest. What is even more puzzling is the identity of the male victim, whereby attempting to shed light on it they are surprised by several police officers and arrested on suspicion of murder.
But then they realize that they are caught in a trap and find out that the person who arrested them is not even a real police officer. Shortly thereafter, Laura and Remington succeed in outwitting the gangsters and flee in a barn.
After Remington receives a rather bumpy blow to the head, his memory starts to slowly return.
Remington remembers something about a very valuable racehorse. As far as he can remember, this race horse has been kidnapped. Further investigation sets Remington Steele and Laura Holt on the kidnappers’ trail.
However, they still do not know why they have been dragged into this whole affair.
