Pierce Brosnan as Remington Steele
Stephanie Zimbalist as Private Detective Laura Holt
Storyline
The vice president of a bank is staying at a winery and finds a body in a wine barrel in the cellar. Wilson Jeffries initially moves the body into the trunk of his car and then turns to Laura Holt, with whom he was once in a relationship.
Laura and Remington Steele are on their way to the winery to have a closer look at the deceased. Upon their arrival, they realize that the trunk of Wilson's car is empty. The body reappears during a visit to the winery only to go missing again.
As part of their investigation, the detectives speak with Werner Shuman, who runs a rival winery nearby. However, his input does not help the investigation much.
Then the dead man suddenly appears in a nearby monastery, where the investigation of private detectives is hindered by the monks’ vow of silence. Nevertheless, it turns out that the body is of an abbot of the monastery.
With a glass of wine in hand, Laura Holt, Remington Steele and one of the monks forge a plan to lure the murderer into a trap.
