Pierce Brosnan as Remington Steele
Stephanie Zimbalist as Private Detective Laura Holt
Storyline
Hector Figueroa, the son of Laura Holt's housekeeper, is missing, and when the young Mexican Pedro Campos collapses and dies on her doorstep, she finds Hector’s papers on him. Besides Hector’s papers, Pedro also had a package, in which Laura finds a dead fish bearing very valuable diamonds.
Since the deceased was carrying Hector’s papers, Laura sets out to Mexico to look for Hector. Meanwhile, Remington Steele has problems with the tax investigation officials, who constantly pester him. Without further ado, Steele follows his partner, Laura, and travels to Mexico as well.
It does not matter much to him that he is being searched in this country through an arrest warrant and that his description has been published in various places. Once in Acapulco, the private investigator realizes that there are hardly any free rooms. Since the bride of a newlywed couple has disappeared without a trace, the bridal suite is currently empty. Without another thought Remington decides to take the suite.
Unfortunately, he was followed to Acapulco by tax investigator Mildred Krebs, so Steele has no other choice. He introduces Mildred as his wife, takes the feisty Mildred to his room and ties her to the bed.
The only thing that remains unclear is what happened to Laura, but he will find that out as soon as possible.
