Storyline

While Remington Steele is spending some time in England in search of his past, he comes in contact with a group of miners, who are planning a terrorist attack.

Felicia, an ex-girlfriend, tells the miners that Steele is one of the best European professional killers. Steele learns that Earl of Claridge has closed down several mines and that the miners wish to seek revenge.

Felicia’s behaviour is motivated by her desire to steal the guests’ jewelry during the wedding of Earl of Claridge in collaboration with Daniel Chalmers, Steele's old mentor. Steele's role is to murder Earl during the reception with a gift-packed gun.

The terrorists make it clear to Felicia, Steele and Chalmers that their survival depends on whether Earl is shot during the reception. Since Steele is known to the terrorists as the best European professional killer, he demands an extravagant sum as fee for this shot.

In order to meet this claim, the terrorists rob a bank for procuring the necessary cash. Also because there is a slight possibility that Earl is Remington Steele's father, Steele does not intend to kill Earl.

When he is injured, he turns to his partner Laura Holt, who is also currently in England, looking for him.
