Storyline

While monitoring the delivery of the black gold, caviar dealer Bingham Perret finds out horrified that his delivery does not contain caviar, but pellets. He contacts the Remington Steele Detective Agency to clear things up.

During their search for the missing caviar, Remington Steele and his partner Laura Holt find some information indicating  that Russian Commissioner Vladimir Denisovitch, a corrupt police officer, is trying to blackmail the caviar dealer, Perret.

Denisovitch is being followed by a Russian, which they believe could be a Russian KGB agent. Moreover, the two other men who allegedly belong to the CIA are trying to murder Laura Holt and Remington Steele.

The body of the murdered Vladimir Denisovitch is found shortly after in one of caviar dealer Perret’s warehouses and it turns out that the suspected KGB employee is actually Ivan Stranikov, an investigator from the Interpol.

However, since Stranikov is holding Bingham Perret for the murderer of Denisovitch, Remington Steele flees with his client, Perret, to caviar dealer Martin Rome. Shortly after, Laura Holt receives an indication that raises the question of whether the decision of seeking shelter for Steele and Perret at his competitor, was really as clever as they initially thought, because now they are now both in danger.
