Pierce Brosnan as Remington Steele
Stephanie Zimbalist as Private Detective Laura Holt
Storyline
Since William Westfield plans to run for the Senate, the Remington Steele Detective Agency is to perform a background check and verify Westfield’s past.
After Laura Holt barely dudges a bullet during a preliminary search of Westfield’s basement, she decides to travel to Mexico in order to find out more about his ten year stay there on-site.
Westfield, who fears for his image, follows the private detective to Mexico, where more than professional sympathy develops between the two. While Laura Holt is in Mexico, Remington Steele has to deal with the authorities responsible for the licensing of detectives in Los Angeles.
Based on extremely flimsy grounds, Steele is shortly afterwards withdrawn his license, so that the professional future of Remington and Laura is in question. Not to mention his entire private future.
