Steele at It

Pierce Brosnan as Remington Steele

Stephanie Zimbalist as Private Detective Laura Holt

Storyline

Laura Holt and Remington Steele have planned a short stay on the French Riviera, whereby Laura is also hoping for some recreational romance. During their stay there, however, an ancient Habsburg dagger is stolen.

It is a nightmare come true for Laura when she realizes that her partner Remington is involved in some way in the theft. As an old friend of Remington Steele has problems and is being blackmailed by the Palermo brothers, Steele intends to help his friend in pretending to steal the dagger.

Unfortunately, the dagger is stolen once again the same night and the thieves escape undetected. Remington Steele is French police inspector Vouray’s primary suspect, which is why Steele must go underground again.

Their investigation leads the two private detectives to Freddie Smith, an unscrupulous collector. Smith, whose yacht is currently lying at anchor in Cannes, is throwing a big party, to which Laura and Remington are also invited.

Laura's task is to distract Smith during the party, while Remington would be looking for the stolen dagger. Their plan, however, threatens to totally get out of hand, as the two private investigators meet the Palermo brothers.

Suddenly, however, the two gangsters are shot and the further investigations of Laura Holt and Remington Steele suggest that inspector Vouray is implicated in the crimes.
