Storyline

Private investigator Laura Holt is just on her way to the offices of the Remington Steele Detective Agency, when there is a plane crash right before her eyes, in which the pilot of the aircraft loses his life.

It is a machine of the radio broadcaster 14-KROT, used for traffic monitoring. The fact that the crash of the machine is being broadcast live over the radio, makes the private investigator suspicious and, when it turns out that the pilot was shot, Mildred Krebs is invited as a psychologist to the radio station.

During her undercover mission, Mildred should try and find out whether one of the two breakfast show hosts had anything to do with the crash. Since the investigations lead to no palpable result, Remington Steele and Laura Holt begin monitoring everyone involved, thereby revealing the activities pursued by moderator Rick Badham.

He notices, however, that he is being followed and tries to escape. Although the two detectives are trying to follow the fugitive in a breakneck manner, visual contact with their target is lost.

Further inquiries provide evidence that the murder of the pilot had something to do with the pirated copies of unpublished recordings and blackmail. Shortly after, Rick Badham appears again, but dead.

Who is behind the blackmail and who is responsible for the death of the pilot and that of Rick Badham is, however, still a mystery which the two private investigators have not come closer to solving yet.
