Storyline

Ralph Kelsey participates in a game for all time’s sake with his former high school baseball team against former teams. When several very strange accidents start happening, Kelsey turns to the Remington Steele Detective Agency.

 

The two private investigators should find out what is up with these accidents. Although both Remington Steele and Laura Holt have only the most rudimentary knowledge of baseball, they mingle with the team as former players.

 

Using this disguise, the private investigators hope to find out who is responsible for the recurring accidents. But then their client Kelsey is murdered by a throwing machine equipped with  pellets.

 

During their investigation Remington and Laura find out that some of Kelsey's teammates certainly had a motive to murder him. But then they hear some suggestive remarks about swapping partners.

 

Further inquiries made by the private investigators bring the solution to the puzzle a lot closer. Sam Woodman and Ralph Kelsey have married each other’s wives after their respective divorces.

 

Sam Woodman, who had only very little money, had designed a plan to gain posession of Ralph Kelsey’s millions.
