James Garner as Detective Rockford
Storyline
Joey "Blue Eyes" is an old pal, whose acquaintance Rockford made during his stay in prison. Joey is now managing a restaurant, but the business is not doing as well as he was hoping. He has therefore borrowed money from loan sharks. When he no longer met their agreement, they started off by threatening him and making demands, after which they abducted and abused his daughter.
Joey turns to Rockford and asks him for help. Of course, the detective is willing to help his old friend, and even has an idea of how to lure the criminals into a trap.
