James Garner as Detective Rockford

Storyline

Moss Williams has just been released from prison. Williams hires detective Rockford to find his girlfriend, Valerie. At least that it what he tells the private detective. In reality, Williams is only looking for Valerie in order to gain possession of her jewelry.

Detective Rockford begins his investigations and must, unfortunately, soon realize that he can not get rid of the unpredictable Williams.
